Dear Clients and Friends of All Gods Creatures,

You may have noticed that there have been longer wait times to make appointments as well as waiting for an appointment. We know it can be very frustrating and we would like to address the causes of these extended wait times.

As with many other businesses, this clinic has faced unprecedented hardship in the last year due to COVID related restrictions and staff availability. The number of pets in our area has increased significantly while the number of qualified veterinary staff has not. Pet ownership is at an all time high and the amount of strays and “trap and release” cats has also intensified.

With that said you may notice:

  • Extended wait times for appointments and difficulty getting same day appointments. We try to accommodate as many clients as possible. PLEASE NOTE – if you are referred to the emergency clinic, it is not because we do not care or do not want to help. It is because we feel that it is in your pet’s best interest to be seen more urgently.
  • Medication refills may take longer due to demand and delayed shipping times from vendors. We ask that you call ahead for medications and allow 24-48 hours for refill. We will call and/or text you when they are ready to be picked up.
  • Extended wait times on lab result call backs and voice mail messages. If you left a message, please know we have received it. Some days we must triage return calls. The most urgent cases will be followed up on first. PLEASE know that if lab results come back critical, you will be notified as soon as possible.

We love our patients/clients and are doing our best to accommodate everybody, so we ask that you please be kind and patient with our staff. Please keep in mind that if we are running behind, it is usually because we have a very sick or urgent patient. Be thankful that it isn’t your pet and know if it was your pet, we would be doing the same for your pet if needed. We understand if you choose to reschedule due to wait times and are happy to accommodate you the best we can. Aggressive behavior and verbal abuse will not be tolerated toward our staff. We have an awesome professional team that love your pets and they deserve to be treated kindly.
Due to an increased number of “no show” appointments, we have had to institute a policy requiring a $50 deposit for new client appointments. Failure to no show/no call will result in loss of deposit. Current clients will have to pay a “no show” fee of $25.00 if they fail to show up and do not call more than once. When someone is a no show, it prevents other deserving pets from getting services.

Please know we love your pets. When we go home at night, we often take home worry and stress over pets we have seen throughout the day. We are often found crying in the back after a euthanasia and we show up every morning in hopes of making a difference in the lives of our patients. To our loyal and wonderful clients, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time.
